Have you ever heard the saying; “March- comes in like a lion, and out like a lamb”. In Indiana, or at least in parts of it, March came in like a lion; we’ll have to see if it goes out like a lamb? We have had terribly windy weather and tree limbs are all over the place. There have also been many tornados in southern Indiana and tons of trees have been uprooted and destruction is all over the place. It has made me think of Psalm 1 and the importance of being grounded in the Word of God.
Psalm 1
1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.
I don’t know about you but one of my prayers is that the women would be grounded in the Word. God’s Word is such a mighty tool used by the Holy Spirit to change us and ground us…so that when the winds of life happen (and those winds DON’T just blow in March!) we will not be blown away but firmly planted, still able to yield fruit in season. Oh what a great picture!
Pray with me, for the women in your sphere, that the Lord will guard His Word…that it will be handling accurately and directly. May our hearts be prepared to let the Word do its work in us…and then through us!

Paul describes the same goal in Eph 4:14 ... so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
His imagery is more nautical, and I think of anchoring deep into the Truth, but I love the idea.
